Our Purpose

African Governance and Leadership Institute of Corporate Directors caters for management development training and consultancy research. Recently the institute‘s role has been reviewed and its mandate expanded to accommodate management training needs for public services so to say; Parastatals and Non- Governmental Organizations, and conducts research that cover areas like; Corporate Governance, Finance Management, Human Resources Management, Feasibility of Projects, Project Evaluation and Result based management to mentioned but a few.

The mission of the African Governance and Leadership Institute of Corporate Directors is to represent the interests of directors — to foster excellence in directors to strengthen the governance and performance of African corporations as whole. We will achieve this mission through education, certification, and advocacy of best practices in governance.

The vision of the African Governance and Leadership Institute of Corporate Directors is to be the pre-eminent organization in Africa for directors and recognized as the leading authority of standards of good governance in Africa and beyond.
